Rup is a Zapbots Cars from the Generation 1 continuity family.

era: 2021 - "Ah I want is energy in the morning..."

Cantankerous and old Rup's origination to the Zapbot team is unknown. He is known to have many stories about how he joined the team next to Bop. Hot Shot and Vision are both under his command for security on Fortress Misslemax, then later for Duplaflex.

Rumors for his origination include the following...

• He's an original Zapbot that was lost long ago and reactivated.
• He's an original Zapbot that was lost in space and came back to Gearatron.
• He's a robot from a similar race of Robots that transform into vehicles and work on both sides.

Rup (in discussion with Hot Shot) was disturbed by Tiremark's alternate programming. He later apologized for his mental error.

The Fall and Rebirth of Gearatron

Rup is part of the team that is sent down to the Yellow Planet with secret instructions after retrieving the shield enhancement code. Once he sends the code back to Duplaflex, he escapes with Hot Shot and Vision through a temporal rift into another Universe.
