Hightone
- Hightone is an Zapbots Communicator from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Hightone can receive communications, disrupt and play any instrument. Friendly and wild, his passion for music is only matched by his passion for communications as he has served on Fortress Misslemax for many years under command of Shortstop. For many years his alt-mode was an Earth communication radio, however, as time went on he slowly started to see the demise of this disguise in the modern-day. During the era where the Zapbots were hiding from humans, he upgraded his form to a modern earth vehicle that is considered optimal for the sound experience. Best friends with his alumni Soundtrack the two are known to go cruising often to just listen to the latest music from across the Universe. His Tapes components provide additional support during missions as he acts as a father-like figure to them. Has a strong hatred for his Nonocon counterpart Low_Tone.

Behind the Scenes
It's funny how some characters are problematic in these modern times, but seemed so smart back in the day. You see this a lot with Transformers trying to find ways to re-define Soundwave with a vehicle mode in recent cartoons. As such in the Rebooted story I decided to give Hightone a much-needed upgrade, placing him in the vehicle ranks. He still has the ability to store his Tapes (as technically any car could with an adapter.)
Needless to say, my car is the Scion XB. You'll notice is counter-part Lowtone is a even more Futuristic Scion Xb.
