Fiction
Original Series
Alan was the friend of Anthony in an alternate reality (see Reality). When Anthony came back to his own reality he tried to form a friendship with him and Mike B. however, after a while it was shown that Alan was unstable mentally. After failing at several missions and being rejected he stole the Tri-Star Headmaster body and joined the ranks of the Nonocons. His human body was killed in battle and Amphotron reprogrammed the Tri-Star body to be a Nonocon as a self-sentient robot. His charred human body remains forever lodged in the head of the Tri-Star head.
Robot Trek II
Alan takes the Matrix of the Leadership and with the help of Shock, steals it with his Tri-Star body.
Robot Trek IV
The Fall and Rebirth of Gearatron
Behind the Scenes
Alan was my roommate in college and although we bonded on Star Trek, basically his Jehovah Witness lifestyle didn't mesh well with me being Gay. We had a falling out and I ended up using that as a plot point the revamps. In the stories, he betrayed us and stole the Matrix of Leadership (which wasn't so different for how our friendship dissipated.)
