Shotbot is an Zapbots Liason from the Generation 1 continuity family.

ShotBot is the internal defense for Duplaflex. Having a somewhat symbiotic connection to Duplaflex, he stays dormant most of the time unless there are invaders within the city structure.

The Fall and Rebirth of Gearatron

ShotBot provided protection when enemies with improved laser abilities were able to infiltrate Duplaflex's exterior. Due to his heavy armor he was one of the few Zapbots to survive the internal attack.

Behind the Scenes

I drew him in 1987 and never made a new version thinking at the time, a Transformer that was made of other parts (like Six Gun was) was kind of dumb. When pondering this recently I thought 'what if he was like an internal organism that protected Duplaflex and hid within the walls?' Thus we have his modern creation.
