Matt E.
- Matt is a Human from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Description: Matt E. is Anthony's loyal and true friend from his High-School years before he created the Zapbots. He became an integral part of Anthony's life even after the Zapbots were created. Extremely friendly and outgoing, Matt provides Anthony the courage and wisdom to take chances in his life instead of 'playing it safe' on the sidelines.

Original Series
Unicron Returns
Matt was Anthony's best friend during this period when the Zapbots were starting to become part of his life. When Anthony decided to become human again and leave the Zapbots he sought out solace with Matt and his family as he viewed him as a brother.
The Escape
Matt, along with David and Jeremy were captured by Terrorists in an attempted plot to lure Anthony into a trap.
Reality
During a battle with the Gongos on Earth Matt is unfortunately killed during the battle.
Back in Time 2
Matt starts to re-appear as an essence within the Matrix to provide direction for Anthony.
Epilogue
Matt reappears to warn Anthony to protect Shane at all costs.
Behind the Scenes
To protect his identity I renamed him Matt Eggbert in the revamped stories because his mom indicated they originally wanted to name him Eggbert when he was born.
Matt was my one of my main 'interests' during high school and thus a huge influence with the first run of stories. We became good friends during Freshman year but we had a falling out so I had to write him out in Back in Time 2 for the original saga. When I revised the stories I killed him earlier in the series Reality and swapped him out for Mike Quartz a fictional character to represent my secret love interest.
