Fiction
Original Series
Senorite (or Ambassador) Anthony was the choosen human sent by the Ancient Zapbots Lighting,Knife and Bridge to rebuild the Zapbot race. When the Matrix landed in his backyard, it proceeded to give him numerous knowledge on how to reconstruct the Zapbots with human technology.
During the initial battle with the Junkicons his body was badly damaged and artificial parts were recreated for his limbs. This gave him extra abilities. He was then given an X-O Suit to assist with battles and this was reconstructed to become the head of Shortstop when Fortress Misslemax was created.
Behind the Scenes
In the stories my body reconstruction was very similar to Robocop in that I had article parts create (you could also go Six Million Dollar Man etc...)
I didn't realize it at the time but basically my X-O suit was very similar to Ironman. This was way before any of the Ironman movies or the fact I knew of 'Tony Stark.' But basically it was an extension of a utility suit that allowed me to go on various adventures.
